Consultation on Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy

Are you looking for a space to deepen your work with neurodivergent clients?

There’s a common path that I’ve noticed clinicians walk before they find me for consultation. Many clinicians have been deep diving, reading many books, and taking professional trainings related to neurodivergence. After learning more about neurodivergent identities, clinicians often realize that more of their clients are neurodivergent than they had previously thought. Some clinicians have learned about their own neurodivergence in recent years or that of family or friends. Learning more about neuroaffirming care and neurodivergence in general can be eye opening, but also overwhelming. It can be hard to know where to start in practice.

I love helping clinicians learn more about neurodivergent identities, neuroaffirming principles and adaptations to clinical work. I’m also passionate around perinatal work. It is always important to me to find ways for clinicians to bring in new styles of work that feel authentic to themselves and their clinical practice.

I’m appreciative of all clinician that are doing the work to better support neurodivergent clients. I find I can be a particularly good fit for supporting neurodivergent clinicians who are supporting neurodivergent adult clients.

Examples of consultation topics:

  • Bring neuroaffirming theories into clinical practice

  • Supporting autistic and ADHDer adults, especially those who are later discovered/diagnosed

  • Supporting neurodivergent adults during the perinatal season

  • OCD with autistic and ADHDer clients
