Jane Kosloff, LICSW’s therapy office in Mountlake Terrace, WA

Frequently Asked Questions

What will our first session be like?

I offer in person appointments in Mountlake Terrace or telehealth from anywhere in Washington state. For telehealth, we will use HIPAA complaint software and meet from the comfort of your own home. During our meeting, you will be able to share what has brought you to counseling and what you are hoping to see change for yourself. We will explore what has been going on in your life. Together, we will come up with a plan to help you meet your goals.

How does counseling work?

Generally we start with meeting for 53 minutes once per week. Each week we check in around what’s going on in your world, how you are feeling, and decide what you want to work on this week. Some weeks we may focus on distressing events in your life, some weeks might be learning and exploring a side of yourself, while another might working with me using a more structured approach like EMDR to work towards your goals.

How does payment work? Do you accept insurance?

I accept Premera Blue Cross, Lyra Health EAP and private payment. Please note as of 7/1/21, I am no longer in network with Regence insurance.

The office and parking lot are ADA accessible.

Notice to clients and prospective clients:

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
